Glitter Love and a Burning Heart

If you can't tell by the title I decided to try glitter brows for the first time yesterday. I didn't get them completely even, but I was pretty happy with the result. I don't have a lot of glitter anymore because I don't use it as much as I did. I ended up using a no name glitter that I have and it worked perfectly. So, let's get on with the photos.....

Filled in with UD 24/7 "Lust" and Sugarpill "Poison Plum" before the glitter
With the glitter

No watermark but I love this angle
I don't have any full face pics of this look although I did wear this all day yesterday. I even went to the store in this makeup. I don't get bothered by people's stares or funny looks beause of my makeup. I always do something bright so I'm used to it. I went with purple glitter brows because I wanted to use Sugarpill's Burning Heart Quad, and purple is my favorite color ;)

Smoldering Plum

Two posts in one day! OMGosh! I was about to put my face on when I saw a new post from Sonja . I was excited to see a new post from her. She mentioned a tag that has been going around called "how much does my face cost?" This tag involves adding up the prices of the products you use (excluding brushes) to find out how much your face costs. Since I was about to put on my makeup for the day, I decided to do this tag. So, here is my FOTD and let's just see how much it cost :)

The prices I have are from the places where I purchased my products. Some of the prices are differenct, especially for the drugstore items. For the most part, the products used are used on a daily basis. The only ones that change are my eyeshadows and lip products. I use the same brow products, primer, and mascara everyday. On to the cost:

Face:
Revlon Colorstay Whipped foundation "Sand Beige" - $13.99
MAC Select Moisturecover "NW20" - $18
MAC MSF Natural "Medium" - $29
Rimmel Natural Bronzer "Sun Light" - $5.99
NYX blush "Peach" - $6.99
MAC pigment "Pink Opal" - $21

Eyes:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance - $18
Maybelline Color Tattoo "Bad to the Bronze" - $6.99
L'Oreal 24hour Infallible eyeshadow "Bronzed Taupe" - $7.99
L'Oreal 24hour Infallible eyeshadow "Smoldering Plum" - $7.99
MUFE "92" - $19
Makeup Geek "Vanilla Bean" - $5.99
MAC "Yogurt" - $14.50
E.L.F. cream eyeliner "Black" - $3
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner "Perversion" - $18

Brows:
Maybelline Define-a-Brow "Medium Brown" - $7.99

Lips:
CoverGirl Lip Perfection "Darling" - $7.99
Milani 3D Glitzy Glamour gloss "Designer Label" - $6.99

Grand Total - 219.40!!

I have an expensive face, haha. I guess it's not that bad considering I use the same face products everyday except I'll change my blush. I guess it's a good thing I didn't use all MAC eyeshadows today, lol. Anyway, I would love to see what others' faces cost! I tag anyone that wants to do it! Hope you enjoyed seeing the cost of my face and my LOTD.

Review: FX Brazilian Smooth

Hi lovelies! Today I thought I would do a review for a product I found while shopping in Walgreens. I was there to pick up my regular beauty/personal items and came across this while it was on clearance. I am not entirely sure how much the regular price of the product is, but I saw it at Wal-Mart for $5-$7. I picked this up at Walgreens on clearance for $2.17.

The product claims to "reduce up to 95% of curl and frizz for sleek straight style." Once you use the product, it is supposed to last up to 7 days. The directions say to wash your hair but do not condition. Then, apply the product evenly throughout your hair and comb it out. Next, dry your hair and straighten your hair with your flat iron. Lastly, wait 24 hours and wash your hair. After you complete these steps your hair will be smooth and straight for 7 days.

I took before and after pics of my hair. My hair does not have curl, but it has a few waves and is frizzy. The frizz is a product of damage from coloring my hair. No matter what I do to my hair (condition, deep condition, stop using products) it still stays frizzy. Right now it is at the elastic stage. Anyway, here are the pictures.

As you can see from the above pictures, my hair is pretty frizzy/wavy. Now, here are the pics after I followed the directions on the bottle.

The product definitely smoothed my hair like it said it would. This product also made my hair crazy soft; softer than when I use my conditioner. I follwed the instructions and washed my hair 24 hours later, but my hair was not as smooth. I even let it air dry. I have heard this product has worked for others, but it didn't work for my like I expected it to. I don't know if it is my type of hair or what? The product works well when I first apply it but not as well 24 hours later. Honestly, I don't know if you can tell a difference from me using the product and just straightening my hair with my GHD. You be the judge. Below I will post a pic without this product and just using heat protector and my ghd.

It looks as smooth to me. Does it to you?
I have used this product a few times and have always had the same results. Have you tried this product? Was it a success for you? Please let me know if it was!

Get Smoked

Hi all! Yes, I know it's been a while since my last post. No excuses. I have tons more looks coming and a few reviews. This past weekend I picked up the new Smoked palette from Urban Decay. I love a smokey eye so I knew this palette would be perfect for me. I have done two looks so far using this palette; one is neutral and the other is a darker look. I did not swatch this palette because there are several swatches of it out there. I did take a few pics of the palette, however. This palette comes with 10 colors, 5 of them are new, a travel size primer potion (in the new bottle!), and a full size 24/7 pencil in perversion (which I absolutely LOVE!!!)

I love how this one has a zipper!

Now that you have an idea of what the palette looks like, on with the looks! This first look was done using UDPP, Kinky, Freestyle, Mushroom, Barlust, Blackout, and Perversion.

The next look is using UDPP, Kinky, Freestyle, Loaded, Rockstar, Asphalt, and Blackout. I have full face pics of this look, too.
I has red in my hair :)

Well that's all of the picture overload, haha. I really do love this new palette. UD has re-formulated their eyeshadows and they are more creamy than they used to be. I love them. I definitely recommend this palette to anyone that loves a smokey eye.
